The poor dissemination of scientific culture means that it is a widespread belief that man is different from other animals that inhabit this planet. We now know that humans, like other inhabitants of this planet, do not count anything in the economy of the Universe: we all live on a tiny insignificant planet along with other eight planets revolving around a star that is located on the outskirts of a galaxy composed of 200 billion stars and galaxies (many of our much larger) are billions in the universe. So the root cause of torture, oppression, abuse, murder suffered by our animal friends come from a profound ignorance. How many times I have heard the phrase "time is an animal." Fortunately different is the attitude of a half billion human beings who follow Buddhism and Hinduism, religions that stand for the greatest respect that the faithful have for animals in this environment is considered a serious sin of killing an animal.
