Posidonius is a large crater ( 100 km), partly collapsed at the edge of the Sea NE Serenitatis.Presenta a small bowl-shaped crater at the center, Posidonius A and a network of fissures on the NE superficie.Il board is studded with tiny crateri.Le Monnier (61 km.) S is a characteristic of Posidonius crater similar to a bay because of the collapse of the NW wall covered with roach lava.Presso edge S is the Russian probe Luna 21 (1973), which put duties on mobile laboratory Lunakhod 2.
